Honoring the class of 2017

Mark your calendar now for The Annual Enshrinement Ceremonies of the Kentucky Aviation Hall of Fame Saturday, November 11th, 2017 at 5 o'clock in the evening. The evening will begin with a reception at 5 p.m., with dinner at 6 p.m. The enshrinement program will follow dinner.

V. Gayle Alexander, DVM

A natural aviator, Gayle obtained his pilot's license before he was old enough to get a driver's license. He arrived in Europe in 1944 and flew nineteen missions before being shotdown while attacking a synthetic oil refinery over Germany.

Maj. Gen. Larry L. Henry

Maj. Gen. Larry L. Henry is a master navigator with 320 combat missions in F-4s and was the director of Air Force requirements and acting deputy chief of staff for plans operations and requirements, Headquarters USAF, Washington, D.C.

Colonel Marion Milton Magruder (1911-1997)

Marion Milton Magruder was an officer in the Marine Corps, and a pioneer in Radar Intercept Night Fighting. He was the first CO of Marine aircraft squadron VMF(N)-533, known as "Black Mac's Killers" and led that squadron during the Battle of the Marshall Islands and Battle of Okinawa in World War II.

Capt. Reginald C. Underwood, USMC (1957-1991)

Flying a mission to support the Marine ground campaign in Operation Desert Storm, Underwood was shot down in February 1991 over Safwan, Iraq. The Lexington Young Marines unit is named in his honor.

The cost of ticket are $110 for AMK members and $120 for guests. There is no program only tickets.
